Terms & Conditions
Booking & Orders
An order is not confirmed or reserved until the required retainer has been received.
For wedding orders, a signed contract and retainer are both required to secure your date.
All custom orders must be placed in advance. Because each item is made from scratch and customized, last-minute bookings cannot be guaranteed, and dates will not be held without payment.
We strongly recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weddings and large events.
Payment
In-Store Purchases
Butter & Batter Bakery accepts payment in-store via Square (card) and cash.
No other forms of payment are accepted for in-store purchases.
Custom Orders & Weddings (Invoiced Orders)
All custom orders and wedding orders must be paid through our secure invoicing system via HoneyBook.
Cash, Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Zelle, personal checks, or any alternative payment methods are not accepted for invoiced orders.
All payments must be submitted by the due date listed on the invoice. Orders with unpaid invoices past the due date are subject to cancellation and removal from the calendar.
Failure to submit payment on time may result in forfeiture of your event date.
Refund Policy
All sales are final and non-refundable.
This includes, but is not limited to, custom orders, tasting boxes, and retail purchases.
Wedding orders are subject to a separate contract outlining specific payment and cancellation terms, which will be provided at the time of booking.
If an issue occurs due to an error on our part, it will be handled at our discretion.
Changes to Custom Cake Orders
Design or flavor changes must be requested at least 14 days prior to the scheduled pickup date.
Changes are not guaranteed.
Design Policy
All products are handcrafted and may vary from inspiration photos.
Butter & Batter Bakery reserves the right to make minor design adjustments when necessary.
Pick-Up & Responsibility
Responsibility transfers to the client at the time the order is handed over.
Butter & Batter Bakery is not liable for any damage occurring after this point, including damage caused on-site, during transport, or during storage.
Products should be transported and held on a flat, stable surface in a temperature-controlled area, and kept out of direct sunlight and heat.
Photography
Butter & Batter Bakery reserves the right to photograph and use images of finished products for promotional purposes, including use on social media, website, and marketing materials.
